This course can be reserved based on your request. Please sent me your request through inquiry on the last page.

Location & Outline

Tochigi city prospered as the town of a wholesale dealers of shipping transportation and a post station for special messengers to Nikko Toshogu Shrine from the Imperial Court

from the Edo Period. As the  Reiheiji Highway to Nikko from Kyoto runs through the center of the city, the city was crowded with people including many feudal lords who are going to pay a visit to Toshogu Shrine from the west. As a current main street was a part of the highway, some black imposing warehouses or those with white wall remain. They are reminders of those days' prosperity. The tour will visit those buildings and museums and experience to make Japanese sweets.
